Kickstart

Hello friendlings and strangettes!

As some of you have already noticed, I got married last week! Everything went swimmingly and after a lovely long weekend honeymoon I'm back home and ready to get cracking. We will soon embark on our next big mission: clearing out the spare room so I can make it into a tiny, but hopefully serviceable studio space.

Now, the reason I have called you all to my journal today is not just to gloat in my marital bliss but to ask you for your opinions on an upcoming project.

For a while now I have been considering trying to put together a photobook containing some of my favourite self-portraits of the past four (!!) years. This obviously costs a fair bit, even to self-print a relatively small number of books, so I've been toying with the idea of using Kickstarter. My initial goal would be to produce a 30-40 page book of good quality in a first print of 150 copies, which would cost roughly £3000/~$4700 which is quite a lot to ask for considering the project itself is quite niche.

So my question to you is would you be at all interested in either donating a small amount of money to this project or would you be interested in owning a book of this description?

I would of course provide different reward levels so that people can donate as little as they want and still receive something cool as thanks, but I'll work that out once I get a sense for the demand.
